BackgroundAlert.com is a website that helps you find detailed information about different people. It keeps current records that include personal information, where someone has lived, any criminal history, marriage or divorce details, licenses, and connections to other people. You can access a lot of this information for free, and if you want more detailed reports, you have the option to pay for them.

1. Navigate to https://backgroundalert.com/optout/ and enter your first and last name as well as your state of residence into their search tool.

2. Browse through the search results and select That's Me when you find your name and info

3. Then enter your email address and click next

4. Select the method you will use to confirm your identity, then select Next 

5. Open the email sent to you by Background Alert, select Confirm Opt Out

6. Your opt-out will be fulfilled in 7 days
