PrivateEye.com is a website where you can search for information about people. It has millions of records, and you can find a lot of information for free. If you want even more details, there’s an option to pay for a detailed background report. This can include things like addresses, phone numbers, birth and death records, marriage information, and criminal history.  The site also lets you look up who owns a phone number or an address. However, if your personal information is available on PrivateEye, it could make you more vulnerable to things like identity theft, scams, unwanted calls, and other issues. The best way to protect yourself is to take steps to remove your information from the site.

1. Navigate to Privateeye.com ad in the bottom left of the page select Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

2. Then click the online Opt Out Form under how to opt out

3. Then enter your information, complete the CAPTCHA and hit Submit

4. Then navigate to your email and click the blue box sent to you in the email

5. Then fill out you date of birth, address, city and state. Select the confirmation box, complete the CAPTCHA and hit Submit
