Private Records is a public records data broker founded in 2020. Backed by a team of data scientists and engineers, the site claims to provide secure and accurate reports by pulling from over 12 billion records. These reports often include contact information, address history, family connections, and can also extend to court records, marriage and divorce status, and even social and dating profiles. While intended to be a resource for information, the vast amount of sensitive data made available through Private Records poses serious privacy risks. Public exposure of this kind of information can leave individuals vulnerable to identity theft, fraud, and other forms of misuse. For those concerned about digital privacy, minimizing the amount of personal information available online—especially on data broker sites like this—is an important step toward better protection.
